Unknown Composer,

who could this be? Perhaps you have a look at the name of the midifile ;-)

Pelle said to me when he gave me his snowhill composition, that he tried to compose classical music for the first time. His first composition in 6/8 measure.

The first butterfly melody came into my mind when I was looking at the butterflies the first time. The second one is a developed form of it.The drums and the bass line were composed by Tammo. We both were thinking of a good melody to describe the world of the girl and finally we had the result that there is. We arranged it the way you look at the picture. At first you see the face, then the butterflies are the next point you look at. Slowly realize the dungeon the girl sits in. In the end you see the butterflies go out the window.

I had composed nearly the same song during my piano lessons. So I used it in my new song. But have integrated some new features with Frank.

When I composed my midi-file I thought of a corridor, long, mysterious, but not scary.  I wanted that the people think, they`re in a adventure, not in a horrorfilm. Imagine, you are in a long tunnel, there`s little light, drops are falling from the roof and you don`t know what could happen. I tried to put this thrill into my piece. Ok, I took the Idea of the theme from "water.mid", but I think it became changed enough. So, that it is.

Hello.

I'm glad you enjoyed my piece (the three men picture piece, for no better title yet). I had fun making it!About the drum track, yes, channel 10 should have been the drums (I chose "Room kit" but it may sound different on different machines so any drumset would be fine.) This is the list of channels and their voices, just in case they got messed up in transition.

Track Name Instrument

1 Bell Tubular bells

2 Synth Lead Square Lead

3 Piano AcGrandPno

4 Bass FretlessBs

5 Ooh voice Voice Oohs

6/7 LayeredSnd2 Calliope/String Ens

8 Ah voice Choir Ahhs

9 Timpani Timpani

10 Drums Room kit

Hope this helps.

Gerd,

The year is fast coming to an end here and there is still so much to do. I have attached Dan's song for the "faded man" pictures. Do these pictures have a title? Would you please check to see that Dan's file works and then forward it to the appropriate place?

Dan's e-mail is danieldickison@mailandnews.com. Please add him to the ICCmailing list.

Hallo Gerd !

"The song PromMus contains several melodies und rhythms from our storage of different stiles. These components had only to be arranged, but in the right way. This took most of the time. After some efforts, PromMus was born."

This MIDI-FILE first was planned for the 'awaking of an angel'picture, but Marius destroied my plan :-). He got ready first :-(. But it's not so bad, because the MIDI-FILE fits although for this picture, because the secret and the water is in both pictures the same. The song is a little bit strange and abstract, but I think it sounds interesting and my teacher haven't given me the order to create a song, which you can hear in a dance club.
